The project involved the automation of gate operations in a diversion weir, replacing a fully manual process based on predefined level tables and operator intervention.<\/p>\n
The system was upgraded through the design and implementation of a PLC-based control system capable of automatically operating the gates according to reservoir water levels and the operating sequence defined by the client. Dual laser level instrumentation was installed at separate locations within the reservoir to provide redundant level measurement and improve operational reliability by cross-checking sensor data.<\/p>\n

An HMI interface was also developed, enabling operators to monitor, configure and operate the system through a centralised control environment. The signals are sent to PLCs and integrated into the SCADA system, where statuses, consumption and alarms are displayed via a synoptic panel.
